The HSM Securio P36 Strip-Cut Shredder (5.8mm) is an office shredder suitable for up to 15 users. Shredding 39-41 sheets of 80gsm paper (or 47-49 sheets of 70gsm) at a time into 5.8mm wide strips, the shredder has a P-2 DIN security rating, making it suitable for everyday document shredding (rather than the shredding of more confidential documents).
In addition to A4 paper, you can shred A3 paper due to the 330mm sized paper entry opening and the shredder can also handle CDs and credit cards (plus has an optional separate CD cutting unit to keep this waste apart from your paper waste). There is also no need to remove staples or paperclips before shredding your documents as the shredder will shred through these too.
Continuous operation means that the machine can be used non-stop without a cool down period, ideal for a busy office - and it also stays quiet due to its low decibel output.
Other features of the shredder include: A very large 145 litre bin; automatic start and stop (triggered by an intelligent light barrier system); a button lock to prevent accidental use; overload protection to reduce paper jams; an energy saving system with up to 90% energy saving thanks to a standby sleep mode and automatic shutdown (standby mode is triggered after 2 minutes non-use and the shredder will automatically shut down if not used for 40 minutes); indicators for paper jam overload, bin full and door open; an inspection window so you can see how full the shredder bin is getting; and castors to allow easy movement around the office.
