The Fellowes Powershred 70S Strip-Cut Shredder is ideally suited for moderate to heavy use in the home or office. Shredding up to 14 sheets of 70gsm paper at a time into 5.8mm strip-cut particles, the shredder has a P-2 security rating for everyday document shredding (if higher security is needed, e.g. for shredding confidential documents, then consider a cross-cut Fellowes shredder, security level P-3 or above).
The 27 litre pull-out waste bin has a handy viewing window so you can see when the basket is getting full, and in addition to paper you can also shred credit cards, CDs/DVDs, staples and paperclips.
Other features include: a 230mm paper entry opening (for A4 shredding); a safety lock which prevents accidental activation; a reverse option to help clear any paper jams; indicator lights for overheat, bin open and remove paper alerts; and a designated slot for the shredding of CDs and credit cards.
Recommended daily usage is up to 600 sheets per day, 25 cards and 10 CDs. Fellowes suggest that the shredder can be used by between 1-3 users and the duty cycle is 10-12 minutes of continuous operation, after which the machine needs a 20 minute cool down period.
Warranty on the Fellowes Powershred 70S Strip-Cut Shredder is 2 years for the machine and 5 years for the cutting blades.
