The Fellowes Powershred DS-500C Cross-Cut Shredder is ideal for occasional home use. It will shred up to 5 sheets of 70gsm paper at a time into pieces that measure 4 x 38mm. This gives it a P-4 security rating which means it can be used for the shredding of highly confidential documents, great for helping to protect you and your family from identity fraud.
As well as shredding paper this machine will also shred staples, small paper clips and even credit cards. The shredder allows you to shred for 5 minutes continuously, after which a 20 minute cool down period is triggered.
Bin size is 8 litres and there is a see-through window so you can see when it needs emptying. For ease and convenience the bin simply pulls out when you want to empty it.
Other features of the shredder include: a reverse option to help clear any paper jams; and a patented safety lock which disables the shredder and prevents accidental activation.
Warranty on the Fellowes Powershred DS-500C Cross-Cut Shredder is 1 year for the machine and 3 years for the cutting blades.
