The Rexel Mercury RSX1632 Cross-Cut Shredder is ideally suited for a small office with up to 10 users. It can shred 16 sheets of 80gsm paper at a time into cross-cut pieces measuring 4mm x 45mm, giving it a P-3 security rating. This means it is suitable for shredding confidential documents and shreds each A4 sheet into approximately 200 pieces.
The 32 litre pull-out waste bin can fit up to 300 shredded sheets and recyclable bags can be used with the shredder for easy and environmentally sound disposal. In addition to paper, the shredder can also shred CDs, credit cards, staples and paperclips.
Other features include: Anti-jam technology (which uses sensors to alert you if you are trying to shred too much paper at a time), easy to use controls, an induction motor to help reduce noise, a 230mm (A4) paper entry width, reverse option, standby mode which is triggered after 2 minutes non-use, LED indicators (for bin full, door open and cool down) and castor wheels for mobility.
Duty cycle on the shredder is 4 minutes of continuous use followed by a 30 minute cool down period.
Rexel recommend recycling waste sacks (product code 2102505) and oil sheets (product code 2101949) are used with this shredder - and warranty on the Rexel Mercury RSX1632 is 2 years for the machine and 10 years for the cutting blades.
