The Fellowes AutoMax 130C Cross-Cut Shredder is part of Fellowes ‘walk away’ line of auto feed shredders, helping you to be more productive and allowing you to get on with other tasks while your documents get shredded. Recommended for 1-3 users and providing a P-3 level of security for confidential shredding, the AutoMax 130C shreds up to 130 sheets of 70gsm paper at a time into cross-cut particles measuring 4 x 50mm. Simply open the shredder lid, stack your paper to be shredded, close the lid and press start to begin shredding - it’s as simple as that!
As well as paper, the shredder also gets through staples and paperclips, so you don’t need to think about removing these prior to shredding (n.b. this is the case for up to 20 sheets stapled or paper clipped together - if there are more than 20 you will need to unstaple/unclip them).
The pull-out style bin has a large 32 litre capacity and the see-through window means you can see when it is getting full. In addition there is a bin full indicator on the shredder.
If you only have a few sheets to shred and don’t want to stack them for automatic shredding, there is also a handy 8 sheet capacity manual feed slot - and this is also where you can shred your old and expired credit cards.
Other features of the shredder include: SilentShred which offers ultra-quiet performance (good for shared work environments); Sleep Mode - an energy saving feature which shuts the shredder down after 2 minutes of inactivity; a reverse option; a 230mm (A4) paper entry width; safety cut-out on bin removal; and a control panel with overheat, remove paper, bin full and bin open indicators.
The Fellowes 130C AutoMax Shredder can be used continuously for up to 10 minutes, after which a 25 minute cool-down period is required.
Manufacturer’s warranty is 2 years for the machine and 5 years for the cutters.
